We often looks for ways to Exclude Categories or Pages from our Navigation, Archives, Rss Feeds, Search Results, etc. This tutorial comes handy when you want to exclude your categories like ‘Announcements, news, misc’ from RSS Feeds or Archives. Here we are reviewing a Plugin which works like magic. Though, if you want to hard code your template files to exclude categories or pages from navigation. Here are two articles, I wrote previously.
Coming back to point, in this article we are not considering only navigation but also archives, search results and RSS feeds.

All you need to do is install the plugin from above link, go to ‘Simply Exclude’ Options menu and play around the plugin as you like. Here are some screenshots of the plugin below.
The best thing about this plugin is, it excludes not only Categories but also Tags, Authors & Pages. Though, Page exclusion only works for Search Results.

You have total flexibility over what category you want to show on Homepage, Archives Page, Feeds or Search Results.
