How to Format Post Excerpts in WordPress?

Sometimes you want to add Post formatting like making words Bold, change color or add links into your Post Excerpts. Unfortunately, this is not possible will the WordPress default Post Excerpts. Unless your theme supports Excerpt Formatting & I don’t know if any does. Here I’m telling you how to add formatting to a Post Excerpt using TinyMCE Editor.

How to Format Post Excerpts in WordPress?

First of all, What is TinyMCE Editor

TinyMCE is a web based Javascript HTML WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Editor released  as Open Source under LGPL by Moxiecode Systems AB. It has the ability to convert HTML TEXTAREA fields or other HTML elements to editor instances. TinyMCE is very easy to integrate into other Content Management Systems.

Format Post Excerpts in WordPress:

For this, we are using the TinyMCE Excerpt Plugin

TinyMCE Excerpt Plugin uses the TinyMCE Editor to format Post Excerpts. It displays the Same TinyMCE Editor Tool bar like Post Area to format excerpts the way you want.

How to use:

Install the TinyMCE Excerpt Plugin
Activate.>
Go to Write Post Page, Scroll down and you should be able to see the editor displayed in the Excerpt Area.
